For it to be successful Zurich wanted an integrated policy administration system with the ability to setup products quickly, make changes to the underwriting rules on the fly, automate processes, to gain efficiency. And to be 100% digital in its approach.
The Klinc solution was launched after 5 months of implementation. With 100% automated underwriting and claims automated to 80+%, Zurich has been provided a solution which is scalable, utilizes a high number of reusable components, is digital by nature and allows them to offer new business models, such as on demand and many more.

Topdanmark wanted to launch an affinity program with one of Denmarks’ largest retailers, offering personal line products to the loyalty customers of the retailer. The current systems at Topdanmark were evaluated but found “not applicable” for the new affinity program. The time needed to set up products had to be short, the flexibility to make changes to underwriting rules on the fly was important. Also, the program needed to be fully synchronized with the existing General Ledger for monitoring and consolidation of numbers.
With IBSuite, Topdanmark got a proven, flexible and scalable platform that enabled them to easily configure new products and launch the affinity program for the first of many products starting with Motor in a record-time of 6 months’ implementation. Besides the affinity program, Topdanmark decided, in parallel, to migrate their income protection portfolio into IBSuite as well. This provided the organization with efficiency, automatization of work processes and improved the overall customer service.

High costs of running many systems at the same time as expensive manual interactions limited their ability to scale the commercial business to the SMB market through their primary channels (brokers and local carriers).
Lack of automatization for the sales and distribution channels prolonged the sales cycle for new business. Setting up new products was lengthy and could not be done by the AXA team on their own.
Migration of the entire portfolio into IBSuite. Tuio is a newly incorporated Spanish MGA with the ambition of revolutionizing insurance bringing a modern, social and sustainable experience in the Spanish market.
Tuio was looking for a cloud native insurance platform to enable their first product, Home insurance for a new generation of consumers. They wanted to start up on a solid foundation built for today and tomorrow, on a complete proven API-driven platform that would enable them to rapidly grow, expand and scale. The alternative of initially selecting a lighter platform and then painfully having to migrate to a more robust platform in 2-3 years was quickly discarded as not the right approach.
Tuio selected IBSuite from IBA to launch their first, with IBAs accelerator enabling to launch their Product in just a few months. The Team got started on the project in a few days after signature – speed to market is important.
Using the IBA Accelerator method the solution was scoped in a couple of weeks using templates, quickly reaching a common understanding of the expected product and tariff configuration. Once signed off, the solution is being delivered in a series of sprints, making IBSuite REST services available for the Tuio Team to test and validate.
