In a very competitive Auto insurance market, consumers are often forced to choose between a full coverage at the car purchase value or a mandatory reduced TPL coverage xx comparing prices in aggressively advertised comparison engines. doppo by Zurich aims to introduce a new car insurance experience, that makes customer feel empowered and offers them full control to protect their car at their own terms.

doppo by Zurich turned to IBA‘s API-First IBSuite cloud native end-to-end insurance platform to help build a highly configurable and innovative auto insurance platform. doppo by Zurich is using IBSuite to enable faster time to market and offer a brand-new modern user experience.

By leveraging IBSuite, doppo by Zurich was able to launch a Spanish value proposition in less than 10 months from initiation to Go Live. With automated underwriting and digital servicing, the doppo IBSuite solution covers an advanced motor product that supports a complex process and rating approach. Under an attractive and effective digital experience, the consumers are able to quote a selected combination of covers and set the value of the car they want to insure to make the insurance suited for their needs and demands.

doppo by Zurich is currently consolidating their value proposition in the Spanish market and, based on results and experience, will consider rolling out the platform in other countries.

In collaboration with Munich Re Digital Partners (MRDP) ManyPets wanted to launch an Insurtech solution for Pet Insurance in the UK. ManyPets is a is a free, members-only service that helps members find insurance for the things in your life that are out of the ordinary.

With IBSuite, ManyPets got a highly configurable, real-world production ready platform with the ability to scale as ManyPets grow their business. IBA supported ManyPets by its great insurance knowledge and a highly dedicated team, responsiveness and a disciplined approach. Topdanmark wanted to launch an affinity program with one of Denmarks’ largest retailers, offering personal line products to the loyalty customers of the retailer. The current systems at Topdanmark were evaluated but found “not applicable” for the new affinity program. The time needed to set up products had to be short, the flexibility to make changes to underwriting rules on the fly was important. Also, the program needed to be fully synchronized with the existing General Ledger for monitoring and consolidation of numbers. 

 With IBSuite, Topdanmark got a proven, flexible and scalable platform that enabled them to easily configure new products and launch the affinity program for the first of many products starting with Motor in a record-time of 6 months’ implementation.  Besides the affinity program, Topdanmark decided, in parallel, to migrate their income protection portfolio into IBSuite as well. This provided the organization with efficiency, automatization of work processes and improved the overall customer service.

The generation of millennials have a completely different buying behavior as the generations before them. Buying insurance or securing their belongings is not always top of mind. Zurich wanted to create a new disruptive business model targeting the millennials. 

 For it to be successful Zurich wanted an integrated policy administration system with the ability to setup products quickly, make changes to the underwriting rules on the fly, automate processes, to gain efficiency. And to be 100% digital in  its approach.  

 The Klinc solution was launched after 5 months of implementation. With 100% automated underwriting and claims automated to 80+%, Zurich has been provided a solution which is scalable, utilizes a high number of reusable components, is digital by nature and allows them to offer new business models, such as on demand and many more.
