VIS Forsikring has signed an agreement with IBA for the delivery of a new, modern insurance system

VIS Forsikring is preparing for the future and has chosen the Danish company IBA (Insurance Business Applications) to deliver a new core system. 

VIS Forsikring has decided to renew its core insurance system in order to meet future needs. After a thorough evaluation process that began last autumn, the Danish provider IBA and their platform IBSuite have been selected as VIS Forsikring’s new core insurance system. 

The agreement was signed on September 9, 2025, and the implementation project is already underway. 

Flexible and advanced 

IBSuite was chosen for its flexibility and advanced API layer, which enables closer integration with VIS Forsikring’s other systems and value chain. The system is cloud-native and multi-tenant, ensuring continuous updates and new functionality. IBSuite has already been adopted in Norway by Frende Forsikring for certain products. 

CEO of VIS Forsikring, Tor Erik Silset, emphasizes that the modern cloud-based architecture provides significant advantages: 

• The fact that all IBA’s customers run on the same version of the system gives us a clear advantage, as the system is continuously developed and adapted to meet the needs of all customers. 

He therefore sees it only as a positive development if more Norwegian insurance companies also consider IBA. 

Morten Steiner, CEO of IBA, expresses great satisfaction with the agreement and says that this is an important milestone in IBA’s ambition to establish itself in Norway, where IBA now has two customers and is in dialogue with other players in the Norwegian insurance market:
