We expect our Business Architects to have a general understanding of the underwriting workflow in the P&C segment of the insurance industry.

The Business Architect will be analyzing and designing the business model, the insurance product models, channel strategies and the business process architecture together with our customers and IBA colleagues to enable a P&C solution built on the IBSuite cloud platform.

You have a passion for innovation in insurance operations and a desire to flex your creative muscles to create new business systems. Further, you like to take charge and facilitate the process, preparing and designing workshops, leveraging IBA’s enterprise framework – Engagement, Delivery, and Operation.

You will be part of both the sales cycle as well as the implementation of a solution. Mostly as a partaker in the early phase of the project including presales activity and project work when the solution is designed but can be extended depending on the customer.


  • Participate in the presales phase, conduct customers meetings presenting IBSuites capabilities and customer success stories.
  • Advise customers on how best to leverage IBSuite to meet customers’ business goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with our customers in understanding their business requirements around the implementation of IBSuite.
  • Consult with insurance businesses and technical resources to produce business requirements and functional design documents as a functional resource.
  • Work with IBA’s product management and Solution Architect Community to share configuration concepts and further develop our core product features.
  • Review overall project and evaluate it against business objectives.
  • Advise on key trade-offs between scope, schedule, and objectives.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Solution Architects to deliver the agreed scope and support in estimating the effort required to configure IBSuite.

Key qualifications

We expect that you have at least 10 years of professional experience within P&C insurance business architecture design or insurance product management. Also, we expect at least 5 years of professional experience with software implementations of insurance core systems, and that you are educated to the degree of Master or similar.

You should have solid consulting experience and the ability to act as a client’s trusted advisor. That includes a demonstrated ability to seamlessly participate in discussions with business and technical leadership at executive level.

As part of the Professional Service operations, we anticipate strong collaboration skills. Therefore, we also expect you to have experience working with geographically disperse people and by that, you possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Expect to travel 50% of your work time.
